Claus Porto, founded 1887 in Porto by German entrepreneurs Ferdinand Claus and Georges Schweder, was Portugal's first soap and fragrance factory. Acquired in the early 1900s by the de Brito family (still running it four generations later), Claus Porto's hand-finished soaps come wrapped in collectible Belle Époque and Art Deco labels.
