Italfama was founded 1976 in Florence by Aldo Marsili, a chess enthusiast turned master craftsman. Today led by his sons Tommaso and Marco, Italfama is a world reference for luxury chess sets and chessboards made of precious materials — elm and walnut burl, onyx, Carrara marble, malachite and metals. Their retail outlet is steps from the Ponte Vecchio.
